Help fight climate change

Help fight climate change

A national climate emergency was declared by the UK Parliament which was echoed in other countries around the world. Devastating bushfires in Australia has seen lives and homes lost not just for the human race but our animals too. The high tides in Venice causing floods, sea levels rising and longer more intense heatwaves around the world, 2019 being recorded as one of the hottest.

How can you help? What can you do?

Lets all play our part in helping fight climate change, for those small things we do each day can help make tomorrow a better day.

Lets start making a change today.

Stand by and switch off

The Energy Savings Trust estimates that up to £80 a year is wasted in the average home because of appliances left on standby. Think of what you could do with that instead!

Use energy efficient light bulbs and don’t forget when you leave a room, turn the light off, simple yet efficient.

Insulate your home

Help keep your home warm without cranking up the heater, less energy is used and your saving on the penny’s. Everyone’s a winner.

Washing your clothes

Now we all know this one, if its not dirty…. Wash at 30!

Brushing your teeth

Make sure the taps off when your toothbrush isn’t underneath it. Easy peasy.

Dishwasher

Fill it up every time, even if it means 2 day’s worth of pots are in there. Less water will actually be used than if you would have done them by hand.

Bank statements and bills

Cancel paper statements and bills, have then online instead. Saving you on the shredding pile too.

Reduce your food waste

Only buy what you need and if there’s a little left-over pop it in the freezer. There you go next weeks teas ready for when you get home after a hard day’s work.

All little things that will help fight climate change but are so easy for you to do.

Start today.
